I'm Caitlin, known as Kits on many model forums. I used to run the website my-beautiful-horses.webs.com, a resource for collectors of "My Beautiful Horses". Unfortunately I ran into some hosting problems this month, so I'm going to move the site's content over to a blog for a while. Maybe one day I will have a new site up and running but for now this will have to do!
If you're new to collecting My Beautiful Horses (MBH), here are the basics:
- MBH were a children's toy made in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
- Two "lines" were made, a "collector's" series and a children's magazine with a free model each month.
- TOMY and Vivid Imaginations produced the toys.
- An earlier American brand, "Showtime Stables", used several of the same moulds and horses. Later on "Animal Hospital" and "I Love Ponies" went on to do the same.
- MBH were available in Europe, the Netherlands and Australia.
- The product's tag line was "To groom, care for and collect".
